Our Purpose
Moodii was created by Caribbean women for Caribbean women and girls, with the intent of revolutionizing the way we experience and speak about our feminine health.
For far too long the topic of feminine health, whether it be menstruation, our sexual health and/or menopause, have been such taboo topics. Experiences that we are led to believe we have to downplay so that we aren't stigmatized in school, relationships or in our place of employment.
The insufficient communication around our experiences has led to further unfavorable outcomes for us all as women. It is one of the reasons several issues like period poverty, the high prevalence of PCOS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and associated infertility rates among women between the ages of 35-50, still persist.
It is also why we've been stuck with products like pads and tampons for generations. Products that don't adequately cater to the sensitivities, curves or flow of the average Caribbean woman. Products that also, until recently, have been shrouded in secrecy where it pertains their composition.
Infact, recent global research has shown that in some instances, these products, unbeknownst to us, may have actually even impaired our overall reproductive health in the long term.
We want to bring these conversations to the forefront, by addressing these everyday challenges through the use of innovation, fashion and community.
